A majority of people who are admitted to the National Spinal Injuries Centre are here due to a traumatic injury and will have been brought in via our A&E department or transferred from another hospital.
Prior to your admission to the centre, our team will review your treatment and care so far and arrange for you to be admitted to one of our wards for initial acute care and treatment or rehabilitation.
We suggest that you bring the following items:
Extra provisions can be bought at the onsite hospital shop.
We advise you to leave your valuables at home and bring only enough money for incidental items, such as snacks and magazines. We will not be responsible for any lost or stolen items.
You are welcome to use your mobile phone on site, but please be mindful of other patients and visitors when using it. Computers and internet access is available in our café.
Before you leave home you may want to download our local accommodation guide for relatives, as well as our travel and car parking information. If at any time you have a question please just ask. We are here to help.
